King James Version
1Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, 2That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. 3Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

King James Version
1And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit. 2And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit. 3And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. 4And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads. 5And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man. 6And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.
Luke 26:34And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be
overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so
that day come upon you unawares. 35For as a snare shall it come on all them
that dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36Watch ye therefore, and pray
always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that
shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
—Always include the verses prior, because some want to escape life completely,
rather than the surfeiting, drunkenness, and cares of this life.
I sort of take the drunkenness from both a physical and spiritual point of
view. If we accept the new teachings of anti-christ, then we would be drunk with
his new wine. Also, if we allow this life to keep us from God and His word, we
will not know the truth, that anti-christ comes first, and that we should be
preparing our hearts, minds, and homes for withstanding the world, it’s ways,
and the coming reign of anti-christ. Also, if this world and this life consumes
us, we may forget that there is a life after this that is greater than this, in
the kingdom to come. Those who don’t keep their eyes on the prize, that of
Christ Jesus and His kingdom, may fall and be taken in the snare of anti-christ.
That is why Christ ends up telling many to go away, and that he never knew them,
when they come saying they have done this and that in his name.

Mat 7:21Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the
kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy
name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful
works? 23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye
that work iniquity.
