had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell
down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials
full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.
Rev 8:3 And another
angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there
was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the
prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the
4 And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel’s hand.
5 And the angel
took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into
the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and
Deut 28:15 But it
shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD
thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I
command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and
38 Thou shalt carry much seed out into the field, and shalt gather but little in; for the locust shall consume it.
shalt plant vineyards, and dress them, but shalt neither drink of the
wine, nor gather the grapes; for the worms shall eat them.
shalt have olive trees throughout all thy coasts, but thou shalt not
anoint thyself with the oil; for thine olive shall cast his fruit.
41 Thou shalt beget sons and daughters, but thou shalt not enjoy them; for they shall go into captivity.
42 All thy trees and fruit of thy land shall the locust consume.
43 The stranger that is within thee shall get up above thee very high; and thou shalt come down very low.
44 He shall lend to thee, and thou shalt not lend to him: he shall be the head, and thou shalt be the tail.
all these curses shall come upon thee, and shall pursue thee, and
overtake thee, till thou be destroyed; because thou hearkenedst not
unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his
statutes which he commanded thee:
46 And they shall be upon thee for a sign and for a wonder, and upon thy seed for ever.
Joel 2:10 The earth shall
quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon
shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining:
11 And the LORD
shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for
he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the LORD is great
and very terrible; and who can abide it?
12 Therefore also
now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with
fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning:
13 And rend your
heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he
is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and
repenteth him of the evil.
14 Who knoweth if he
will return and repent, and leave a blessing behind him; even a meat
offering and a drink offering unto the LORD your God?
15 Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly:
16 Gather the
people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the
children, and those that suck the breasts: let the bridegroom go forth
of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet.
17 Let the priests,
the ministers of the LORD, weep between the porch and the altar, and
let them say, Spare thy people, O LORD, and give not thine heritage to
reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they
say among the people, Where is their God?
18 Then will the LORD be jealous for his land, and pity his people.
19 Yea, the LORD
will answer and say unto his people, Behold, I will send you corn, and
wine, and oil, and ye shall be satisfied therewith: and I will no more
make you a reproach among the heathen:
20 But I will remove
far off from you the northern army, and will drive him into a land
barren and desolate, with his face toward the east sea, and his hinder
part toward the utmost sea, and his stink shall come up, and his ill
savour shall come up, because he hath done great things.
21 Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice: for the LORD will do great things.
22 Be not afraid, ye
beasts of the field: for the pastures of the wilderness do spring, for
the tree beareth her fruit, the fig tree and the vine do yield their
23 Be glad then, ye
children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath given
you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you
the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.
24 And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the vats shall overflow with wine and oil.
25 And I will
restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm,
and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent
26 And ye shall eat
in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God,
that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be
27 And ye shall know
that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the LORD your God, and
none else: and my people shall never be ashamed.
28 And it shall come
to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and
your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream
dreams, your young men shall see visions:
29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.
30 And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.
31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the LORD come.
32 And it shall come
to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be
delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as
the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.
Is 10:20 And it shall
come to pass in that day, that the remnant of Israel, and such as are
escaped of the house of Jacob, shall no more again stay upon him that
smote them; but shall stay upon the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, in
21 The remnant shall return, even the remnant of Jacob, unto the mighty God.
22 For though thy
people Israel be as the sand of the sea, yet a remnant of them shall
return: the consumption decreed shall overflow with righteousness.
23 For the Lord GOD of hosts shall make a consumption, even determined, in the midst of all the land.
24 Therefore thus
saith the Lord GOD of hosts, O my people that dwellest in Zion, be not
afraid of the Assyrian: he shall smite thee with a rod, and shall lift
up his staff against thee, after the manner of Egypt.
25 For yet a very little while, and the indignation shall cease, and mine anger in their destruction.
26 And the LORD
of hosts shall stir up a scourge for him according to the slaughter of
Midian at the rock of Oreb: and as his rod was upon the sea, so shall
he lift it up after the manner of Egypt.
27 And it shall
come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off
thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be
destroyed because of the anointing.
Zeph 3:12 I will also leave in the midst of thee an afflicted and poor people, and they shall trust in the name of the LORD.
13 The remnant
of Israel shall not do iniquity, nor speak lies; neither shall a
deceitful tongue be found in their mouth: for they shall feed and lie
down, and none shall make them afraid.
Mic 4:6 In that day, saith
the LORD, will I assemble her that halteth, and I will gather her that
is driven out, and her that I have afflicted;
7 And I will make
her that halted a remnant, and her that was cast far off a strong
nation: and the LORD shall reign over them in mount Zion from
henceforth, even for ever.
Mic 5:7 And the remnant of
Jacob shall be in the midst of many people as a dew from the LORD, as
the showers upon the grass, that tarrieth not for man, nor waiteth for
the sons of men.
8 And the remnant of
Jacob shall be among the Gentiles in the midst of many people as a lion
among the beasts of the forest, as a young lion among the flocks of
sheep: who, if he go through, both treadeth down, and teareth in
pieces, and none can deliver.
Rom 9:27 Esaias also
crieth concerning Israel, Though the number of the children of Israel
be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved:
28 For he will finish the work, and cut it short in righteousness: because a short work will the Lord make upon the earth.
Acts 2:17 And it shall come
to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon
all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your
young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:
19 And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:
20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and notable day of the Lord come:
21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Rev 19:9 And he saith
unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage
supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of
10 And I
fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it
not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the
testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the
spirit of prophecy.
17 And the
dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant
of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony
of Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians 15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep[i.e. die a natural earthly death], but we shall all be changed,52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump:
for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
